INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE--
DIPLOMA PROGRAMME
The expanding vision of KLAS seeks to nurture internationally minded learners not only from Japan, but from across Asia and around the world. To achieve this vision, we will further strengthen our educational excellence by evolving to include the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, enriching learning experiences and continuously enhancing the quality of education we provide. The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) is a comprehensive and academically challenging pre-university educational programme for students typically aged 16 to 19. It aims to develop students who have excellent breadth and depth of knowledge – students who flourish physically, intellectually, emotionally, and ethically. The IBDP embraces academic personalization through diverse pathways which embrace global perspectives. This curriculum transformation is an opportunity for growth, as KLAS continues to develop as a unique global learning community, preparing students to thrive and contribute in an increasingly interconnected world.

Kumon Leysin Academy of Switzerland is a Candidate School* for the Diploma Programme. This school is pursuing authorization as an IB World School. These are schools that share a common philosophy—a commitment to high quality, challenging, international education that KLAS believes is important for our students. *Only schools authorized by the IB Organization can offer any of its four academic programmes: including the Diploma Programme. Candidate status gives no guarantee that authorization will be granted. For further information about the IB and its programmes, visit www.ibo.org
